It’s actually fairly simple to drive.

See the left gearshift as a bicycle tray, then the right one as the speeds.

1 tray, go through all 3 speeds, then get onto the second tray and shift through all 3 speeds, then 3rd tray and all three speeds... Downshift accordingly.

Most of those old trucks don’t have syncronized transmissions, so it doesn’t really matter if one uses the clutch or not.

The best part of old Detroits is how incredibly pissed they sound at totally unimpressive RPMs. That video never saw the engine over 2,500! So much 2-stroke!
